New YA Adventure Series Turns American History into High‑Stakes Treasure Hunts
JULY 22, 2025—Ark Press is rolling out American Treasure Hunters, a clean-burn, teen-friendly adventure series that treats American history like the treasure map it is. The Hunt for Confederate Gold, The Boston Tea Party Conspiracy, and The Pirate and the Alamo will be released in time for the holidays.
“If you miss the days when a genuine and straightforward adventure tale could fire anyone's imagination without detouring into soapbox issues, clear a spot for yourself and your teens for this series,” says series creator Andrew M. Dare.
Dare describes the series as National Treasure spliced with the straight-shooting charm of the Hardy Boys, as well as a bit of the teen dynamics and treasure-hunting mystery of Outer Banks. The ATH hunters—Ben Prescott (vision, drive, inventiveness), Porter Rockwell (social savvy, courage, versatility), and Latch McRae (mechanical wizardry, fortitude, heart)—dive wrecks, decode ciphers, and livestream it all for a podcast fandom that stretches from Kitty Hawk to Kodiak. Shadowing them is the Alignment, a globe-trotting cabal bent on airbrushing America’s past and disappearing the evidence.
“Give boys heroes who live for adventure, but won’t compromise their values, and you’ll see men in the making,” Dare continues. “These stories run on courage, loyalty, and a deep commitment to American history and America’s inheritance of history, mystery, and treasure.”
