Refund policy

We want your books to arrive in good condition and your digital purchases to work. If something goes wrong, contact support@ark.press with your order number and a short description of the problem.

This policy covers purchases made directly from Ark Press. Purchases through another retailer are handled under that retailer’s return policy.

Damaged, defective, or incorrect products

If your product arrives damaged or defective, or we send the wrong item, you may return it for a full refund. If you prefer, we can arrange a replacement when stock is available.

Ark Press covers necessary return shipping for these items. Your refund includes the amount paid for the affected product, applicable tax, and the original shipping charge attributable to it. If the whole order is affected, we refund the full original shipping charge. There is no restocking fee.

Please contact us promptly, preferably within 30 days of delivery. Photos may help us resolve the problem, but tell us if you cannot provide them. We may resolve a claim without requiring a return.

Returning a printed book because you changed your mind

You may request a return within 30 days after delivery. Books must be in their original, saleable condition, without added markings, stains, or damage.

You pay return postage. We refund the price paid for the returned book and applicable tax. Original shipping is not refunded except where required by law. There is no restocking fee.

Physical orders are fulfilled through our warehouse in Edmond, Oklahoma. Contact support@ark.press before mailing a return so we can provide the correct address and instructions.

Ebooks and audiobooks

Digital purchases are delivered through BookFunnel. Use the help option on your delivery page for downloading, reading, or listening assistance, or contact Ark Press directly.

We will refund an accidental digital purchase that has not been accessed and the extra copy in a verified duplicate purchase. Once content has been downloaded, streamed, or accessed, we generally do not offer change-of-mind refunds.

If we supplied the wrong content, or a technical problem prevents you from using your purchase and we cannot resolve it within a reasonable time, we will refund the affected purchase, including applicable tax.

Cancellations and refunds

Contact us promptly to cancel an order. We can normally cancel physical purchases before shipment processing begins. Unshipped preorders may be cancelled for a full refund of the item and associated shipping.

Eligible refunds go to the original payment method. We aim to issue them within 10 business days after receiving a return or confirming that no return is needed, and sooner where required by law. Your payment provider may take additional time to post the credit.

RIDE INTO OZARK HISTORY
AND HUNT FOR LOST SILVER

Read MoreRead Less

Ben Prescott, Porter Rockwell, and Latch McRae couldn’t be more different. Ben is a home-schooled thinker and visionary, Porter is the starting quarterback for the Ridgeport Raiders, and Latch is the gear-man, who never saw a machine he couldn’t take apart and set to purring. Different, yes, but the three have been friends forever with a shared passion: treasure hunting for the forgotten loot of American history.

When the hunters’ senior trip to a famous Ozark Mountains theme park leads them to an eccentric collector with an old silver dollar and a mysterious cave journal, Ben, Porter, and Latch find themselves pulled into a legend buried beneath the rides. Somewhere deep in a vast cavern, the truth behind the lost Yocum silver may still be waiting—if the story is not just another Ozark tall tale.

But they are not the only ones on the hunt. As bad guys close in, Ben, Porter, and Latch must follow the clues left behind by a long-dead cave surveyor before the mountain itself seals them inside forever.

The American Treasure Hunters series is packed with adventure, mystery, and action as modern-day high school seniors Ben, Porter, and Latch search for lost treasure from America’s hidden past.

Reviews and Endorsements

“The mystery and the adventure were a lot of fun, but for my money, the best parts were the historical discussions and tidbits sprinkled throughout the book. . . . It’s good. It’s clean. It’s fun. . . . Our heroes are solving a mystery downstream of those facts, and they have to stick to them if they’re going to find the treasure.”
—The Federalist

“Andrew M. Dare wants to renew popular culture by directly renewing its seedbed, literature, with stories that will inspire young men to prepare their minds, souls, talents, and imaginations to dream big and achieve big. That’s why he has written a new series of novels for teenage boys who crave adventure and knowledge, learning technical skills and unraveling historical mysteries. Call them Hardy Boys for the Twenty-First Century.”
—RealClearBooks.com

“If I’d read it when I was 13 years old, I would have thought it’s one of the greatest books ever written. . . . Ben, Porter, and Latch are fine protagonists, and the story moves along at a fast pace through a well-constructed historical mystery. . . . [The reader gets] a mixture of educational stuff with action, mystery, a little romance (that angle is handled quite well), and a little humor.”
—James Reasoner, Rough Edges

“American Treasure Hunters continues to deliver exactly what it promised in Book 1: competent, ambitious young men having old-fashioned adventures while learning real American history. . . . It’s Hardy Boys with modern tech, surfing, football, and podcasts, aimed squarely at boys who want to read about other boys doing cool, heroic stuff.”
